My mother held the material taut while I stood with aforementioned gun of glory in hand, anticipating the bap-bap-bap sound of the heavy duty staple-age and the inevitable pat-on-the-back of a successful DIY done right\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.\u2026<\/div>\n
NOPE.<\/div>\n
The impotent staple tumbled forth uselessly, seemingly unable to find purchase in the material. Another try is made. And another. Pretty sure these staples would struggle with puncturing Kleenex! Laughter begins bubbling forth in us both until we are howling. Amazed I was able to snap these pictures through the screaming laughs and tears. My mom gets up to use the bathroom and I hear her have another fit of laughter through the door and\u2026I lost it. No easy way to say this but\u2026Wild with giggles I wet my pants. She emerged from the bathroom to find me naked in the living room, mopping the floor and ready to double over again at the slightest provocation.<\/div>\n
It\u2019s been about a half hour now and when we looked at these pictures almost started up all over again!<\/div>\n
My mom said she hasn\u2019t laughed so hard in years. I\u2019m happy to have been here for it.<\/div>\n
Oh, and she looked up an upholsterer online to take over our project\u2026<\/div>\n
