Kind of deflated the balloon festival didn’t really pan out this year due to weather. Well, weather plus the fact I thought the “glow up” nighttime balloon thing I imagined to be like the fiery golden display of paper lanterns set aloft was actually Friday night, not Saturday. (Guess that makes me a hot air head…?) But hey, we did see a gorgeous sunrise and there was a nice crisp chill to the air as we traipsed about the damp grounds, so not a total bust…
