Encountered what I thought was a gigantic dandelion while out on my bike ride this morning. Whereas a “normal” dandelion is about the size if you make circle with your middle finger and thumb, this was more like the circumference of both thumbs ands middle fingers together. Someone just recently showed me the handy dandy iPhone plant identifier feature, and turns out this is salsify. So there. Now we all know. There weren’t many of them around so I didn’t make a wish, but if I find a patch of them have some pretty sizable wishes that could use a huge monstro wishing weed like this to scatter those wishes to the skies.
