My lovely mum left Colorado for home today after an impossibly fast month-long visit raced by. She arrived the night a gorgeous full moon graced the sky and tonight was another stunner. What a joy to bask in that luminous glow as we awaited word from mum that her plane landed. And finally, the soft bell of an inbound text, and her flight is on the ground! I miss her already…Time to head inside. I blow out the candle and, as it has been extremely hot of late, decide to pick up this very large 3-wicked candle and take it inside, so that it doesn’t languish in the hot high-altitude sun of tomorrow. Aaaaaaand, what do you know? Should one pick up a recently extinguished candle, one should be cognizant of hot wax running about. To and fro even. All over one’s cell phone even. Arghhhhhh! No, I didn’t get out the hot iron and run it over my phone. It did take me a good 20 minutes though using scorching hot water on a paper towel to gently rub every nook and cranny of the phone and phone case to (mostly) make things right as rain. So, as they say… zero stars, would not recommend!
