Another wonderful tour yesterday at the Uffizi Gallery, wide-eyed and wandering among the works of the masters along with likely half the population of planet earth 
We crossed Ponte Vecchio but the wine bar we had planned on visiting wasn’t yet open, so a 15 minute walk back through the (mostly) pedestrian area brought us back to the Cathedral area where we navigated our way to a quieter side street for a nice lunch of pasta and Vermentino.
We tried to find a rooftop bar for sunset but our timing was off so we headed back to the sanctuary of our peaceful courtyard, and the wonderful hospitality of Nick, who works the afternoon shift at our hotel and who makes our delicious apertivi cocktails. Not suffering in the least…
Anxious and excited to visit the lawyer today and drop off the citizenship documents it has taken about 18 months to compile. Wish me buona fortuna!
